- Supervising, coaching and developing of the R&D-team consisting of R&D-engineers, model makers/proto typists and technical draughts(wo)man.
- Establishing and implementing of the long and short term R&D objectives.
- Developing and monitoring of the most appropriate process methodologies and project management tools in order to obtain a coherent and consistent way of working within the entire term for the long term.
- Supervising and pro-active guiding of the entire R&D development process (according to the stage-gate procedure) of new products and models from the concept phase through production.
- Setting the R&D priorities in collaboration with marketing, purchasing, production, sales and IT.
- Establishing, following up, adjusting and monitoring all relevant R&D-budgets and costs.
- Taking Make-or-buy decisions at both development level and product level, in collaboration with purchasing and production.
- Reporting and strategic advice to the general management on level of R&D.
- Providing feedback, framing and implementing of the general management decisions to R&D team.
The R&D product developer coordinates the development process of new models and accomplishes the following tasks :
- Translating design proposals of external designers into technically elaborate, feasible concepts.
- Building prototypes using various prototype technologies (2D/3D-CAD tools, 3D-printing, virtual prototyping, comfort models, …) in order to obtain a concept approval of the marketing team.
- Project based coordination of the multidisciplinary development process, while monitoring quality, timing milestones and target cost.
- Making ready for production and ensuring product validation (Industrial Release) of a new model.
- The R&D product developer develops an average of 2 to 3 new models per year.
- As an R&D product developer, you support the full life cycle of a product.
- You report to the R&D Manager.
- Preparing, assisting, and reporting of confidential management files: Board of Directors’ meetings determining, for example, the marketing, purchasing, HR, and design policies, etc.
- Preparing, organising, and elaborating external management meetings, including planning, making appointments, flight and hotel reservations, etc.
- Coordinating the selection and recruitment process for office staff in close liaison with the managers concerned.
- Converting numerical data into easily readable documents for analysis and reporting.
- Communication and correspondence in Dutch, French, English, and German.
- You are responsible for purchasing materials from regular suppliers up to and including delivery.
- You ensure that orders are placed correctly and on time.
- You prepare purchase files, request quotations and process orders from various suppliers.
- You closely monitor delivery deadlines.
- You follow up all procurement-related administration from A to Z. You are responsible for e-mail and telephone contact with suppliers, checking invoices against delivery notes, inputting article prices and following up orders.
- You have an overview of the availability of products within the company.
- You are the contact between the sales team, production, R&D and suppliers.
- You do monitoring of suppliers and you notify the Purchase Manager if things go wrong.
- You report directly to the Purchase Manager.
- Within JORI's production department, you are responsible for developing, managing and monitoring the quality policy
- You ensure a performing system that guarantees the quality of incoming materials, for the production process and for the finished products that leave our factory.
- You identify system and quality problems and propose the necessary measures for improvement.
- You critically analyse the results and suggest improvements in the processes.
- You liaise with suppliers and handle quality questions
- As quality manager, you are the central point of contact for any complaints.
- You manage the production specifications and adjust them where necessary.
- You coordinate the approach to hygiene, safety and environment.
- You report to the Management.
- From a helicopter view, you analyse and evaluate the various production processes within JORI NV.
- You detect bottlenecks and make proposals for optimisation.
- You adapt the work instructions and communicate these within the various production lines.
- Together with the R&D department, you supervise the introduction of new seatings to the production department.
- You analyse production data and formulate improvement proposals.
- You apply lean manufacturing to prevent unnecessary loss of raw materials.
- In this position, you report to the Production Manager.
- Implementing central planning in order to achieve the envisaged quantitative and qualitative goals.
- Division of work, supervision and motivation of 15 employees.
- Organising and optimising work methods and workstation layout.
- Maintain and increase quality culture.
- Streamline logistics of supply and removal of materials.
- Proposal/implementation of improvement projects relating to productivity, quality and safety.
